Additional Program Information & Restrictions
Excluded Merchandise at Canadian Tire stores and online at canadiantire.ca
As per the Triangle Rewards Terms and Conditions, all merchandise sold at Canadian Tire stores, or on-line at canadiantire.ca, is Eligible Merchandise except for Excluded Merchandise listed below:
· Gift cards;
· Lottery tickets;
· Hunting and fishing licences;
· Tire disposal fees and tire taxes;
· Rug Doctor® rental charges;
· Refundable deposits;
· Environmental fees;
· Repair charges;
· Delivery or assembly charges;
· Other store services (other than automobile service);
· Inter-store sales;
· Other store labour (other than labour for automobile repairs);
· Donations at a discount;
· House account charges;
· Towing charges;
· Prepaid cards;
· Phone cards;
· Tobacco products or alcohol;
· Pit Stop® parts/labour charges;
· Canadian Tire Roadside Assistance® memberships that are purchased over the phone or on-line;
· Premiums for credit card balance insurance or for insurance or extended warranties on items purchased with a Canadian Tire branded credit card;
· Premiums for other Canadian Tire branded insurance products, cash advances, transactions using a convenience cheque, balance transfers and other cash transactions, (other than cash transactions we may designate from time to time as Eligible Merchandise);
· Any fees charged on a Program Payment Card;
· Payments made to a credit card account;
· The value of any part or item traded-in in connection with a purchase, and any item that we are legally precluded from awarding eCTM in respect of.
Please note, individual Canadian Tire stores may exclude additional items sold in that store from being Eligible Merchandise.
Retroactive Collection
If you forget to use your Triangle Rewards Card or a Cardless Method at time of purchase (or fail to enter your Triangle Rewards Account when shopping online), you may still be able to collect Canadian Tire Money (CT Money) on your qualifying purchase(s) made at Canadian Tire or Party City. Maximum of 2 requests for Retroactive Collection per week.
Purchase Eligibility for Retroactive Collection
· Requests for Retroactive Collection can only be made by members of the Triangle Rewards Program. If you have not yet registered your Triangle Rewards card, you are not yet a member.
· You have 15 days from the date of your purchase to make a request for Retroactive Collection.
· Only purchases made at Canadian Tire/canadiantire.ca and Party City/partycity.ca qualify.
· The purchase cannot have been cancelled or refunded, including a refund of any item that was part of the initial purchase. Purchases that have already earned CT Money will not be accepted.
· If you have activated or swapped any weekly personalized offers since making your original purchase, your request for Retroactive Collection will not be accepted.
Submitting a request for Retroactive Collection
Recent purchase details can be submitted up to 2 times per week, including up to 2 separate purchases, or re-submissions of purchases that were previously rejected. Submissions refresh every Sunday.

Information required for submitting a request for Retroactive Collection
In-store purchases:
· Receipt number (located under barcode on receipt)
· Purchase subtotal
· Date of purchase
Online orders:
· Order number
· First and Last name
· Date of purchase
· Telephone number provided on the order
Other Information
Retroactive Collection is not guaranteed. Canadian Tire has the right to reverse any CT Money awarded if Canadian Tire believes that the member did not themselves make the purchase or otherwise complied with the Triangle Rewards Program Terms & Conditions.
Once the purchase is verified, you will collect the same amount of CT Money as you would have at the time of original purchase, including any eligible bonus offers in effect at that time.
We may choose to limit or restrict your ability to request Retroactive Collection or limit or restrict which purchases may qualify for Retroactive Collection. We may also terminate Retroactive Collection at any time without notice.
